April 29 - May 10: External Sector Statistics
| At the request of the Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL), CDOT conducted a technical assistance (TA) to improve the source data and compilation framework for external sector statistics (ESS). The mission placed a special emphasis on enhancing data validation procedures and ensuring the robust application of ESS methodologies. The mission also: (i) followed up on recommendations from previous missions; (ii) addressed existing data gaps, particularly in the estimation of trade in goods and services, income account, and financial account—focusing on direct investment (DI) liabilities; and (iii) developed an action plan for future enhancements. |
