March 24 – April 2: Macroeconomic Frameworks

David Corvino, CDOT Macroeconomic Advisor, conducted a technical assistance (TA) mission on Macroeconomic Frameworks in Vietnam. This mission further supported Vietnam authorities in establishing a shared macroeconomic database, institutionalizing macro-economic projection tools, and presenting results to relevant policy makers. The mission also clarified the role of the core group, amid government restructuring. |
March 3 – 7: Government Finance Statistics
| Deon Tanzer, CDOT Government Finance Statistics (GFS) and Public Sector Debt Statistics (PSDS) Advisor, conducted a technical assistance mission on GFS to support the Vietnamese authorities in upgrading the classification procedures of public sector units in line with the GFS Manual 2014 (GFSM2014) and the System of Accounts 2008 (SNA 2008) guidelines. The National Statistic Office (NSO) of Vietnam has started implementing the compilation of comprehensive sector accounts for Vietnam in line with the SNA 2008 to adhere to the IMF Special Data Dissemination Standards by 2030. |
